Imagine a festival where all the beer is something unique, something you have never tasted before, and likely never will again. The Hoppy Possum in Northeast Tennessee features only the best amateur brewers from around the country, serving exciting beer, cider, and mead they created. Brewers and their offerings are carefully selected by festival staff to bring you the best and most unique libations.

Decide

How do we make sure to attract the best brewers? We offer $10,000 in cash prizes and carefully select each brewer. Festival attendees will vote on their favorites. The top 5 beer entries and top 3 non-beer (cider, mead, etc.) entries will move on to final judging. Music

No celebration is complete without great music. Each year we feature a full day of live music. In 2023 we welcomed Supatight, The Future 26’s, and Shuffler Sound System to the Hoppy Possum Stage.
